I have failed Foundation degree and dont know what to do?
I have had such a bad year, it was worst year of my life at southampton silent university. The day i moved in with these junkies i failed my course. Not been able to sleep due to the noise they made playing music on their dj decks which all three of them had, every day till 5am sometimes till 8am. When i told them to turn it down i got into argument with all three of them. They even did this during my exams, so i failed all of them. Half a year into the course i was robbed, they took my £700 laptop, memory stick, my ps2 and the 15 games, my dvd player and even took my trainers. I knew it was them but they denied it so i couldn’t do anything, they even threatened me. i am on my summer holidays and i got results, i haven’t even shown to the parents, because they will lose it. i had to save up money to by knew laptop so that my parents wouldn’t find out about it. I don’t think there is any point me repeating the year, I don’t find it that hard its just i was so depressed sometimes i would stay in my room for week or two. They use to go out every day yes every day get drunk take drugs smoke weed, there were bongs everywhere. Sometime they would say they have put extacy tablets into my drink for a joke but who knows they could have done it for real. I don’t know what to do can someone give me advise.

Do you think i should tell my teacher all this, maybe he’ll let me continue to the next year.

Move out! Why the hell are you staying there with that scum? You should have called the police when you were robbed, why did you not? Ok, assuming you were too scared to because they threatened you, here’s what you need to do; tell your landlord you’re moving out and find a place through your uni or a local student rental place. Get your parents to help you with this, and tell them everything; the only reason they’d be angry is because you suffered and didn’t tell them. Make sure you move out when your housemates are out, and take their decks with you (what are they going to do, call the police and have them come sit in the drug filled front room to take a statement? Not likely) and sell them asap (privately of course). That’ll recover the cost of your stuff, or some of it at least. Or if you don’t want to sell them because they’re technically ’stolen’ then just destroy them (you’ll enjoy it I imagine). Don’t leave a forwarding address with your landlord but do tell him there are class A drugs being used on the premises, maybe also tell the cops about the drugs; they fu*ked up a year of your life, cost you a fortune (not only your stuff but course fees etc) so why the hell should you not cause them as much trouble as you can? They’re a bunch of losers and I doubt very much that they have the intelligence or means to find you or get revenge for this.

And yes I think you should inform your teachers or whoever at the college/uni, then you have a much better chance of being allowed to repeat the year.

Cause right now i want to improve my grades in school

But for some reason im not able to concentrate on stuff and I can’t get anything on my head…so yeah

make sure you eat a good breakfast to keep you full and focused. Include lots of fiber in whole grains like whole wheat toast, cereal, or whole wheat/multigrain bagels and fruit. Also have some protein and fat in milk, yogurt, cheese, peanut butter, eggs, ham, sausage, bacon. Also, a little bit of caffine will help you focus. Have a small (i rly emphasize small) cup of coffee or tea or a latte with breakfast or after. try to avoid energy drinks they will make you overly jittery

A game was downloaded on my PSP, but when I go to delete it it shows up on neither the PSP itself, or the removable drive on the PC. Yet the PSP shows that I have lost 10 MB on my memory stick. There is no evidence of the game or anything being placed on the device, but it says there are 10 MB gone. If you have any way to solve this problem PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!

So my friend has an AMAZING memory. As in, he doesn’t have to take notes in class, and aces tests without studying, no joke. He can also remember phone numbers that he’s heard once, etc So how the heck does he do that? Are people just born w/better memories, or are there some ways to exercise your brain to make it retain info better? Cuz, I’ve got the worst memory ever, and it’d be awesome if I could do something about it.

Well … take a look into some memory or concentration supplements when you have the time …

Here are some popular ones:

There’s a few points I wanted to address with this one.
First, it’s not just any Omega 3s that help with memory… it’s primarily DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) that is in Fish Oil that helps support memory the most. I’ve been taking Fish Oil for a couple years now, and I can definitely tell when I’ve missed a dose for any reason. Plus, Fish Oil also helps with Cardiovascular health (Heart, Lungs, etc) and Skin health.
Second, it will vary a bit person to person, but most people notice the benefits in as little as a few days or as much as a few weeks. With me, it took about 3 weeks to realize that I hadn’t forgotten why I walked in a room for about the 2 weeks before that… and I would forget like that on a regular basis.
Third, the normal dose of a standard Fish Oil is 3 softgels daily, and that normally gives a daily dose of about 360 mg of DHA. Personally, I take a Fish Oil concentrate because I only need to take 2 pills a day to get that much.

Try it out for a month and see if you don’t notice a difference ;-) Good luck!
