Attended a Creative memory workshop where the trainers said , by doing Certain mental gymnastics, a person can increase the size and weight of brain thus enhance memory power. pls clarify if this is true, if so on the web where i can find more information about it.

And how much did you pay to attend this "workshop?" You can challenge your brain by trying to learn new things, but you cannot "grow" your brain That would mean your skull would have to be capable of expanding to accommodate your larger brain, and it can’t! That is why when a person sustains a concussion (which involves a swelling of the brain) they have an incredibly painful headache–it’s their brain pushing against their skull!

Nope. When it’s done growing, it’s done growing. Form there it’s up to you to feed it knowledge.

Think of it this way, how in the hell would they know. They would have to remove the brain weight it put it back in complete the training and re-weigh it. Mental exercises do help keep you sharp and now there is evidence that it can help stave off or delay Alzheimer’s disease. Remember neurons in the brain do not divide so you cannot increase these in fact you can only lose them, but by working the brain you can increase the neural connections, and most likely alter brain chemistry. After all these are how memories are stored.

It sounds little bit confused.Increasing the size of a normal brain is simply not necessary.A common person should keep his or her brain active. That’s what is most important for our brain. But if someone has an undersized brain, may be he needs these exercises.we can improve the efficiency of our brain by playing scrabble or solving crosswords.

You can’t like you think and there is no use for it, but by using your brain, as much as possible to solve problems, do writings, well anything you could think of. It is known that the brain will grow more axons (telephone lines between the nerve cells) if you use it. So simple is that. Good luck!
One have fought that the nerve cells in the brain doesn’t multiply themselves, but they do, really. How about more nerve cells and more axons. Go ahead and use the brain, it is like a muscle which is not in use.

Rephrase the quesiton- "What am I trying to accomplish with my brain?"

Are you using it as a hat rack? Or do you have a specific goal to achieve with a larger brain?

Or do you have a degenerative nerve disorder that makes your brain shrink like humans do past age 70?
