I was diagnosed with brain injury a couple of years ago. currently i am in college and my memory is really giving up on me. i have tried fish oil pills, but stopped bc i was burping constantly and it tasted like fish, GROSS! now im taking memory pills i got from the pharmacy but i still forget to take them daily, are there any things to eat like a diet which helps the memory?
Indian food made with turmeric (which contains curcumin) can help with memory.
Although you said you forget to take pills, it would be even better to take highly concentrated, bioavailable curcumin. http://longvida.com/
I think you’re supposed to take the pills with meals, so you could just make it a habit to take them when you eat.

Fish, specifically oily fish. I get the impression your not really keen on fish, but it is known for it’s memory improving abilities. How about breaking the fishy taste down by eating paella and fisherman’s pie. I don’t like fish either but both meals make it easier to consume.
Also try playing brain-training games that improve memory?

Zinc, other than that fish oil, is supposed to help.

First off, try Fish Oil pills from Origin, they have burp-less on the bottle, and they really do work. Next, try not to drink soda from alluminum. Blue-berries have been know to help. I like to think they do, so go stock up on everything blue berry.

I’ve heard that coffee beans can help! Now, I don’t like to eat coffee beans themselves, but just making and drinking a pot of coffee can do the trick. And coffee can be fast and assist you in everyday projects, so you don’t have to prepare a lot to get that cup! Coffee is a deliciously tasty way to help improve your thinking!

There are lots of vitamins and supplements on the market that can help with memory. The most basic would be a good Vitamin-B Complex, which is pretty cheap and you can find them anywhere. Also, if you’re taking a multivitamin, they come with a full assortment of B Vitamins (if you are not already on a multivitamin, that would be a good place to start). Also, fish oils. These can be found in liquid or capsule form. I prefer the capsules as they are easier to take and do not smell. You can find them at health food stores.
Beyond that, you can look into specific individual ingredients like Ginkgo or Ginseng or Vinpocetine. These products can be found on their own at health food stores, or inside ‘brain products’ or ‘mental supplements’. Below is a list of the most popular / best-reviewed products for memory, attention, and focus:
